ARLYN DEON GRANVILLE, II

December 8, 1976 ~ November 10, 2021 (age 44)

Obituary

Deon was the first born child to the parentage of Reverend Arlyn D. and Rona K. Granville born on December 8, 1976. He was literally a beautiful bundle of joy and though he arrived a month earlier than scheduled, God blessed this child to grow, thrive and be given many natural talents and gifts.

He started his public education in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Everman High School. Ironically this the same school where both his parents met, fell in love and graduated themselves.

Deon’s occupation was in the hospitality industry where he continuously exceled resulting in promotions into management positions. Deon was so likeable, loveable, helpful, and admired with such a strong quiet spirit and he never met a stranger. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and later reaffirmed his trust in Christ the day before he called to begin residency in his eternal home.

Relatives who met him at the gates of God’s kingdom were his father, Rev. Arlyn Granville, Sr., his baby sister, Uginee Granville, maternal grandparents, James and Learline Gipson; paternal grandparents, Dewey and Nellie Granville; uncle Richard Gipson and many other cousins, uncles and aunts who likewise were Christian believers.

Deon leaves behind to cherish his memory, carry on his legacy and ultimately await the Lord’s calling are his daughters; Deonmonique and De’Arvia, sons; Deontae and Jaylon, newborn grandson Cordeleon, mother; Rona Granville, brother; Nicholas Granville, great-aunt; Jeweline Gipson, aunts; Debra Gipson, Felicia Malek, Carlyn Houston, Undra Johnson, uncles; David Gipson (Valerie), Ray Dabbs, first cousins; Nathan, Fatima, Megan, Robin, Brian, Christopher, Reggie, Jeremy, his mothers cousins; Ernest Frost (Betty), Larry Gipson (Sandra), Audrey Gipson and a host of second and third cousins, others relatives, friends, and co-workers.
