CAIPHAS MASHAMBANHAKA

Caiphas (Cephas) was born in Mutoko in Zimbabwe on June 1, 1961.  He passed away in his sleep on October 28, 2019.

Cephas will be dearly missed by his one and only "Number 1" daughter, Rachel Sarudzai and many of his friends and loved ones.  Cephas was that type of friend that always had time for you and was known for his witty personality. He always took time to mentor a lot of young Zimbabweans in the community.   He was one of the pioneers in the community to settle in Dallas, many that came in early had an opportunity to interact with him. Before social media we had Cephas, he opened his place to anyone who needed a place to stay, he went above and beyond in connecting people with the right resources that enabled a smooth transition into the diaspora. DFW metroplex will never be the same without Matemai.

Cephas was reunited in Heaven with his parents, two brothers and a sister.  He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Sarudzai, a brother and lots of nieces and nephews.
