CRAIG JONES

Early Palm Sunday morning, April 5, 2020, our beloved Craig Jones danced into heaven.  A life well lived had ended.  In our hearts, we know that God dispatched one of his angels to call him home. His home going took place at Dallas Methodist.  Our beloved was free to go home at the young age of 56.  To us, much too young, but to our Heavenly Father, it was his time.

Craig was the second child born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones Sr.  He was born in Houston, Texas, September 1, 1963.  He completed his education at South Oak Cliff (SOC) High School in 1981.  Although Craig was willing to walk into any church and hear the word, he always let you know he grew up in the AME church.  He was employed by Manheim Auction Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas.  Only illness and family could keep him away from work.  He worked tirelessly to help his children, grandchildren and the care of family members.  He was husband, dad, granddad, brother, son-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and the one we could depend on when something needed to be done.  He truly loved his time with his family and going to new places meeting new family members as he would call them.  He had a saying for everything but two of his favorites, “I am Rich” and ‘this is how the Jones do it, we do it BIG’.

Survivors include:  his wife, Tiffany; two sons Erone Mitchell and Tristian Jones of Dallas; two daughters, Shannin Mosley and Tyler Adams of Dallas; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Charles D. Jones Jr. and Christopher Jones of Dallas; one sister, Tasha Johnson of Dallas; three aunts, Walterine (Bill) Minifee of Missouri City, TX, Elma Grimes of Tempton, TX, Robbie Williams of Tracey CA;  mother-in-law Karen Wright (Zack) of Dallas; brother-in-law Kevin Wright of Dallas; two best friends Curtis Henry and Mark Banks of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to live on and share his memories.
