MEAGAN JAMES

Meagan Ariel James was born to Kervin D. James and Demetria James (Mitchell) on March 5, 1995 as the first of three children.  She was born in Houston, Texas and was indeed a miracle child as she was born 13-weeks early.

Meagan was active in church at an early age singing and praise dancing and imitating everything she witnessed.  She was dedicated to the Lord as an infant and was sold out to Christ as a pre-teen who loved to worship and dance.  Meagan was active during school in dance, choir and she tried her hand at basketball as well.  She graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas in 2014 with a passion for cosmetology and make-up.  Meagan worked as a Day Care Specialist which she enjoyed molding young minds.

She had the most vivid imagination as a child and she loved spending time with her cousins Dacia, Amber and Jalen.  If you saw one, you usually saw the other as they were inseparable.  Meagan enjoyed being Big Sis to her sister and brother, Kiara and Evan James, and the bond between them was unbreakable.

Her friends were just as important to her as her family.  Meagan never met a stranger.  She was the most loyal and trustworthy person each of her friends could count on.  We always teased her that she “loved hard”.

Meagan got her Angel’s wings on July 9, 2020 after a brief respiratory battle and she surrendered and transitioned from this life to one with no more sickness and sadness taking flight for her new destination.  She leaves behind to mourn her Mother, Demetria Mitchell and Father, Kervin D. James (Annette); Sister Kiara James; Brother Evan James; Grand Parents, Apostles Timothy and Joyce James and Clarence and Mary Hairston; Uncles Andre Morris and Marc Morris (Tina); Aunts Kina Lamb and Shelly Stevens; God Parents Terry and Lashunda Hickerson; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
