TOMMIE MORGAN

January 24, 1940 — January 21, 2020

LIFE REFLECTIONS

Tommie Lee Morgan was born January 24, 1940 to the parentage of James and Rachel Morgan in Crandall, Texas. He attended public school in Seagoville, Texas. He married Lois Oatman and to this union four children were born. He later married Jannis Morgan and gained two stepsons.

Tommie accepted Christ at an early age and has been a member of Fellowship Holiness Church since its beginning in 1960. He was very instrumental in the construction of the first little church as well as the construction of its current building and Fellowship Hall. He was very devoted to the church where he utilized his talents as a guitarist, a deacon, worked with the finances, a grounds keeper, custodian, and photographer. He was never without his camera and took advantage of every opportunity to catch a memory through camera lens. He remained a faithful member of Fellowship Church until his health started to decline. When he wasn’t able to attend he continued to support the church financially and continued a close relationship with the Lord.

Tommie accomplished retirement from TXU as a lineman after 27 years of service and a second retirement at Rutherford Elementary School as a custodian with 8 years of service.

He answered the Lord’s call to come home and passed in peace on January 21, 2020 in the hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents; James and Rachel Morgan; former spouse, Lois Morgan; one son, Emmanuel Morgan (Bubba); three siblings, Willie Francis Thomas, Annie Mae Sanders and David Morgan II.

Tommie leaves to mourn and cherish his memories; his loving and devoted wife, Jannis Morgan; two daughters, Firenia Davis and Tammy Morgan; one son, David James Morgan; two stepsons, Marcus Jackson ( Dorlinda) and Elgin Mccuin (Latonia); eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of God children, many other family members and dear friends.
