DEVIN SMITH

Devin Smith, son of Patricia Braxton, was born on September 7, 1971 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Devin, affectionately known as “D-Shot”, attended Grambling University and graduated from TCC. He worked at Santander Consumer USA and enjoyed being a supervisor at AT&T Stadium for many years. He was a faithful member of New Bethel Complete in Christ Church.

Devin always had the most beautiful smile and he was loved by many. He had a passion for music that led to his favorite hobby DJing for family and friends. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys’ fan and never liked to miss a game.

On Monday, July 13, 2020, he answered the master’s call and peacefully transitioned into eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Eunice Smith.

Survivors: His wife Olivia Smith; daughter, Daijiah Smith sons; Cortez Smith, and Richard Esquibel; mother, Patricia Braxton (Duane); sisters, Denisha Braxton, Deshana Blackburn (Darryl); aunt, Eunetha Williams; cousins, Keith Williams (Yolanda), Dwight Williams (Mesha),Cortez Smith, Richard Esquibel,; and a host of relatives and friends.
